18 November 2009 5 Comments

The Suzuki Kizashi is the first big Suzuki sedan to be built in China (unless of course you count the Suzuki Verona, which was the last generation Chevrolet Epica) and will be built by Chang’an-Suzuki sometime in 2010. A sports model oKizashi has been spotted out testing in China, and has proven to be a hit online:

this is nothing like the Concept car….styling is more tamed and the interior is has the usual underwhelming Suzuki treatment….

This was suppose to be Suzi’s big challenge to the mid-sized market, yet it lags woefully behind Mazda 6, Honda Accord and Ford Mondeo.

I don’t know where the other guy is getting his information, but that’s OK. If you are interested in the car Google “Kizashi Club”.

If the car is successful I have a feeling we will see more of the concept styling return.

any factual basis on that feeling? its make perfect sense to ditch original concept which epitomized the vehicle in launching the it to market only to bring the concept ideas back because the car has sold so well. how can that not be logical

I equate Suzuki with motorcycles and good small cars (Swift, Alto, SX4). I’m not sure if I’d “buy into” a large car – do they already sell a large car in Japan?
