MG goes back to its basics, and has new chrome badge

mg-new-logoLets face it, chrome is back and it looks like its here to stay. SAIC had MG fans the world over worrying last week regarding the announcement of a new MG logo, would SAIC completely change it, or even make into the Modern Gentlemen logo? It seems that bitter tears need not have been wept by certain hardcore MG affectionardos. In fact it looks like SAIC have reached into MG’s past to revive the brand under its original Morris Garages moniker and given it a shiny chrome make over. No doubt this will please the masses but the fringe MG anoraks will no doubt be stamping angrily into puddles and kicking puppy dogs tomorrow when the new logo finally goes live, along with the MG6.

I’m glad they didn’t ruin it. I’m quite pleasantly surprised, actually.

Come on, Gerry, the Brits ruined the whole shabang long ago.

I was referring to the redesigned logo. I do agree with you regarding their cars.

MG new badge has been used before on previous MG back in the 1970′s but was normally used on the back of the car in chrome and more in favour traditional badge on the front.

Nice to see the chrome badge back!
