Jaguar to build new China sales network and launches XJ in Guangzhou

Jaguar, the British premium car maker, are planning on restructuring their China sales network over 2010 following the successful launch of their all new Jaguar XJ sedan in Guangzhou this week.

Jaguars chief executive in China Mr. Wang Li Rui told journalists at the Guangzhou Auto Show that Jaguar China plans to change its current sales network set up in China, and also of Jaguars plans to expand investment in China, which will include an indpendent China sales company. China is expected to become Jaguars largest market in the next few years which will see it jump over the UK, German, French and American markets.

Mr. Li also said that Jaguar-Landrover had its first executive meeting in China last week, marking the first time that it has been held outside of the UK. According to Mr. Li there is the possibility of Jaguar building a Research and Development center in China, which would eventually see Jaguars being tailored made specifically for the Chinese market.

The Jaguar XJ will sell for an impressive 1.98 million RMB in China.

As opposed to “Jaguar the American premium car maker” when under Ford? Sorry that’s dumb, owners of these companies come and go but Jag’s roots are in Britain and it makes all it’s cars in Britain.
