1.4T Skoda Superb heading into China?!
The Skoda Superb is a fantastic looking car, its big too, very big, it currently comes with the choice of a 1.8TSI and a 2.0TSI motor, but SAIC have plans for a 1.4TSI.
The 1.4TSI is probably more about bringing the big car down to a lower price of an estimated 150,000rmb, but as the Superb weighs in at 1555kg, and measures LxWxH 483mm x 1817 x 1462 with a wheelbase of 2761mm, the Superb might be a little bit too bulky even for the perky VAG 1.4TSI.
The 1.4T Superb will also have the DSG gearbox that is found on other VAG vehicles. Prices for the 1.4T Superb have not yet been announced, nor has an eventual launch date, although it is likely to make an appearance in early 2010.
