Huatai Bentely spotted out again
The Huatai Bentley has been spotted out yet again, and is giving viewers the best view of the upcoming premium sedan. The sedan is set to formally launch in 2010 according to reports, and will use a Mitsubishi 2.4L engine, and also a SAIC sourced 1.8T engine that is often found in the Roewe and MG series of cars.
Huatai have said before that they plan to get into the sedan building business, and want to go into the business via a different method; whilst other Chinese manufacturers get into the overcrowded mini car building business, Huatai plan to start at the top and work their way down the product line rather than working from the bottom up.

Exactly what is the Bentley connection? If you refer to the mesh grill, it’s a bit tenuous isn’t it?!
This car is very different from its first sketches.
I think it doesn’t deserve to be refered as “Bentley Clone” anymore.
Particularly, I think the car was much prettier in the first sketches than in this actual version. I’m a kind of disappointed.

Superb is a Skoda model. How does this look superb? Average to odd at best. The late 80′s want their wheels back.

You never answered before. Can you name a car you don’t think looks great? I will get excited about plenty of things but hard to get excited about something that looks old and is junk. I am excited about the new Audi A1. If they do it up with quanttro and turbo I won’t be able to pass up on it. How can you get excited over every Chinese car made. Come on. You must have driven plenty of them already and know there is nothing exciting except wondering what will happen when your car is crushed by a big truck because the brakes failed of the engine died and you couldn’t move.

Have you seen it in person??! Been in it??! Driven it??! A car that has failed brakes and engine does not qualify as a car. Name one Chinese car that just stopped in the middle of the road and got crushed by a truck because of failed brakes and engine. Otherwise, shut it. I have my opinions, and you have yours. Ed this is right at you. If customers don’t demand more they will never get more. The market in general dictates what is available on the market. If everyone is like you and says everything is great and ignores flaws nothing will improve. The Chinese brands will take forever to develop into companies that can design their own respectable cars for the world market. Or we can just keep saying everything is fantastic to everything made and live with everything being mediocre at best. Sorry but I am an engineer and it drives me crazy when companies put the same crap out over and over when it could easily have huge improvements. Why do you want China cars to be followers? Why follow when you can lead? Does that make sense or is that just another stupid american talking crap about China? You don’t even make sense. You just blabber out stupid american and comments like that. Great arguement. Must have taken you a few hours to come up with that, or did you ask someone for help?

I’ve got pissed once, a long time ago, in a subject regarding chinese fake Hummer copies. Some people here were defending the chinese copies, saying they were able to make “better looking hummers” for a fraction of it’s price. Bullshit. Stealing intelectual property only damages the technological development of the country. Those are the people that drag down the credibility of the chinese industry.
I used to work for the Hummer arm in GM, and I’m an engineer as well. Kudos to Honcho for this, couldn’t have put better.

I see nothing resembling a Bentley. The back is way more Ford than Bentley. The front is just ugly. The front has the perfect look for a Devilish greedy executive. Think Jack Nicholson with a huge joker smile driving it.
Bentley …. yeah okay. More like rebodided Mitsu Galant with tacky grille glued on. Needless to say, if you want to start ‘at the top’ this is not going to work. Chinese consumers will be asking themselves, how much for this?? Audi / BMW / Buick please.
The platform is no doubt a hand-me-down from across the Yellow Sea. The Chairman perhaps?

Seems like someone should be monitoring the name calling and racist remarks being made. If someone would do that I would guess there would be way less arguing.
