SAIC’s to start work on own van

15 December 2009 5 Comments

SAIC have started work on their own van according to todays media reports, the van is reportedly going to be a similar size to the IVECO range of vans that SAIC inheritied when they took over Nanjing Automobile which has a JV with IVECO.

The above van-come-bus is likely to come down the IVECO production line in Nanjing. Pricing has not yet been announced, nor has a launch date. CCT will keep you updated.

The shape of the badge look’s like an Octogan. Rumours were it was going to get the Morris badge but that’s a different shape:

Would the plans for this include LDV and Longbridge?

But SAIC already has a large van production in its SHAC Istana subsidiary. What gives?
