Chery’s M14 spotted out again – looking better than ever
Chery’s M14 has been reportedly coming out for quite some time but it has yet to make it to production.
Chery appears to be getting closer to a final production car with a lot of engine and suspension set up from Lotus, and a lot of testing in both the UK and in China.
Chinese media reports say that the M14 is more than likely to make an appearance in 2010, although we have been waiting for this car since 2008. Now the question remains, will it become a Chery, or will it fall into the Riich brand which is now Chery’s own luxury label.
Engines for the car are expected to be a 3.0L V6, and also a 2.0T model that is taken from the Riich G5.

This is not the M14 Concept, it´s the A6CC Concept Car, that was spotted during test drives.
I hope that this car will see production, soon.
Please make it RWD.

Looking good!
Yes, this is the A6CC kubao designed by IAT. It was shown in Beijing in 2006. On the display pod, I remember that drop-dead gorgeous Russian blonde model, who kept blocking my view. I was like, block away….block away…..:-)
who IAT ? i thought it was designed by Bertone.
Heard both claims now lol so maybe someone can straighten us out….
Awesome. It looks even better than before.
I agree, make it RWD!
The M14 cannot be RWD as the electric roof (RHT – Retractable Hard Roof) folds into the trunk/boot.
It will never have a 3.0Ltr engine, as suggested, as there is no package room in the engine bay for such a sized engine. It will be 2.0Ltr and a Turbo 2.0Ltr.
The car was STYLED by Pininfarina, but was re-designed by a team of British Engineers who worked/work at Chery for the last 4 years. The exterior and interior design and packaging has all been changed by the team of 20-25 (varying at times – depending needs) British experts – who have lead the Chinese team of 400 engineers, and shown Chery how to take a car from concept to production, via the necessary stages of development.
It is, in effect, a British standard car, assuming Chery use the materials specified by the British engineers during all development.
