Chery Riich G5 to launch soon – priced at 120k for 2.0VVT engine
The Chery Riich G5 2.0 VVT model is Chery’s third Riich model to be launched after the Riich M1 mini car, and the Riich 2.0T version.
Although it is lacking the flagships turbo, what it does have is some fuel saving variable valve technology, and a fairly decent specification which will see it compete fairly well against other Chinese mid size sedans such as the Roewe 550.
The 2.0 engine is from Chery’s own ATECO line up and is also upto Euro5 standard. Chery are hoping to take their Riich models to certain European countries within the next 12 months, so it is vital that they can produce an environmentally friendly car, as well as it being safe and sporty at the same time.

Looks nice but a checklist for making it perfect :
- Bigger Tires ( c’mon the Kia forte comes with 17″ ! )
- Dump this color
- Please Dump that stupid Mini cooper / Bentley ( RIICH ) logo
‘RIICH’ is the lamest name ever
I think that Riich is a strange but otherwise really cool name for a car brand. It reminds me of the canned prosecco that was advertised by Paris Hilton. That thing is called Rich Prosecco.
Riich is the best name ever.
car looks very dated, colour is ridiculous and good god, thats looks like some good old grey hard plastic heaven in the cabin! this is anything but rich, just a poor man trying to imitate rich with a 90s front facia and a stolen bently badge.
and look at the fit and finish between the glove box and dash? you can almost fit a coke can through that. ROFL
I have to admit, that this Riich G5 is one of my favourite cars.
Not with this lame and underpowered 2.0 VVT-engine, but with the 2.0 TCI, it is a great car.
Especially in my hometown Munich, that is dominated by BMW, this would be a sensation! Probably everyone would ask me what car I have, if I would buy the G5.
are you smoking weed?
