Chery X5 to launch in March
The Chery X5 SUV is set to launch in May later this year after succesfully competing in the Dakar rally. The X5 is going to be launched under the Rely brand and is expected to sell for around 160,000rmb.
Engines for the X5 at launch are expected to be a mixture of self developed gasoline and diesel engines, Chery are expected to offer a Dakar version of the X5.
Whilst the X5 is not exactly a looker, it could be compared to the first generation Kia Sorento, which also was not a looker but was a fantastic offroader. The X5 is also expected to be quite the competant mud plugger with it being capable of going into 600mm of water, and being able to go up 60% degree slopes.

I seem to see a hint of Tiggo in this. Am I right? In that case, it would probably mean some Toyota genes, also.
Where is Tiggo? I don’t know what you are saying…
The Rely X5, was named as Higgo previous, and called P11 inner.
There is no relation with Tiggo. Clearly enough?
higgo? What’s a higgo?
