Cars with the biggest discounts this month

A list of cars with the biggest discounts in February have been released to the internet, the Chevrolet Camero has come out on top with a fantastic 160,000rmb discount to boost sales in a country where the Transformers movie is loved, but not a lot of love for the real Bumblebee can be found (alternative versions can be found though )

  1. Chevrolet Camero – dropped by 160,000rmb
  2. Volvo C30 – dropped by 27,000rmb
  3. BMW 3 series – dropped by 25,000rmb
  4. Imported VW CC – dropped by 20,000rmb
  5. BYD F6 – dropped by 19,000rmb
  6. Toyota Reiz – Dropped by 13,000rmb
  7. Nissan X-Trail – dropped by 12,000rmb
  8. VW Magotan – dropped by 11,000rmb
  9. Toyota Camry – dropped by 10,000rmb
  10. Suzuki SX4 – dropped by 10,000rmb

The Camero has dropped in price from over 800,000rmb (around $117K) to a mere 640,000rmb (around $93,000USD), which might make it slightly more palatable to Chinese automotive fans. However, the Camero starts at $22995 (around 150,000RMB) according to World Car Fans in the USA, so perhaps the Camero could drop in price some more.

Camaro is imported and is slapped with that 30% duty.

Beside, Camaro is supposed to be a Halo car, not a volume seller so the pricing doesn’t matter.

  6. avatar Head Honcho says:

There are too many cars in China that have import tax on them and are over 600,000 and aren’t worth anything near that.

  7. avatar Ed says:

Over 800000 for a GM… The discounted price isn’t that much cheaper either. I can see why GM needed money from the U.S. government. I wouldn’t ever buy a GM, even at half of that price. The starting price of the U.S. version is less than 150000, even if there is a 50% import tax, there is no reason why it would be anywhere near 600000.

Ed – you are a dork!!

  9. avatar Ed says:

lol. So tell me dogtucker, would you pay over 800000 or 640000 for a GM? You are the dork here.

  10. avatar Head Honcho says:

Ed it isn’t just cars. China has nice taxes on electronics too. Thanks to the taxes phones and computers cost more in China that most other countries too.

    • avatar Ed says:

haha, you should’ve been to British Coloumbia. The tax in China is nothing compared to B.C.’s. Plus, China doesn’t have sales tax.

  11. avatar dogtucker says:

No Ed I wouldnt- and thats the point – you have a choice – and your maths and conception of what you understand make you the dork here.
