Facelift Toyota Vios spotted out testing
The Toyota Vios is aimed squarely at developing nations, which previously meant that all developing nation cars had to be bland hatchbacks with a sedan trunk bolted on as an after thought, the Toyota Vios has abandoned this train of thought. The facelift Vios appears to be a seriously nice vehicle, although it is thought of as as ‘sub Corolla’ model, it does look to be the nicer of the two.
The current Vios is produced by FAW-Toyota in Jilin province and is slightly smaller than the Corolla in size, but it is on the inside where the two cars differ a great deal. The Vios interior is quite simple with the binnacles being located in the center of the vehicle, making it easier for Toyota to swap the steering wheel over to either side with limited fuss for each market it is sold in, which is sold mostly in South East Asian and Chinese marketplaces.

This is a really nice looking vehicle. – Steven Ruza
Something about the Toyota styling always makes the car still look retro to me. Not 20-30 years retro like 5-10 years retro.
i love this car i can’t wait to get one vroom vroom
But HH not as retro looking (or feeling)as all Chinese designed cars.
This car is called the Yaris in North America and Europe. Although it is not that popular in the US, because of it’s small size , it is one of the most reliable cars sold in North America. They are more popular in Malaysia, where I just recently visited. I plan to buy one in 2011 after Toyota hopefully resolves all it’s quality issues.
Disgusting. Why can’t Toyota churn out anything better than the Corolla or Yaris/Vios? Chinese designs are way better and more exciting.
Which one Ed?
Roewe 550, 350, Chery A3, Geely GT, Brilliance FRV Brilliance BS2, Chang’an JieJia(hybrid), Chang’an V802, Chery A6, Guangzhou concepts, Chery M14CC, JAC A108, A107, Geely Panda, Geely NL, Geely GC, BAIC 700r, BAIC 800, BAIC 700, Geely CE, Geely EC7, Great Wall Hover H5, MG6, Lifan SUV, and so much more.
I probably didn’t get 1/10 of it, but I have other things to do rather than to sit here and list all these cars because you idiots can’t do it for yourself.
yeah- i would love to see an answer to that one as well Ed! Unless of course you are still sleeping and dreamimg…..
I don’t love chinese cheap cars chinese car company’s proved that we are fools chinese companies cannot make quality they can only churn out quantity so hats off to vios and fuck the BYD F3 cheap chinese copy wait for 5 years 10 companies will close in china of chinese origin
This facelifted Toyota Vios 2010 is one car to watch especially the new front grille.
Hopefully, I will get hold of one of it soon when it is available in Malaysia some time in April!
