Toyota Reiz/MarkX facelift version spotted out testing

The Toyota Reiz has proven to be a popular choice to the ever well selling Toyota Camry in China. The Camry is the front wheel drive stable sedan, where as the Reiz is the rear wheel drive power house that the salary man with an automotive heart chooses to buy. The Reiz was first introduced into China in 2007, and has sold fairly well for its manufacturer, Toyota-FAW. The Reiz has been due a facelift for quite some time, and the latest version that has been spotted out testing, brings the Reiz in line with the Japanese second generation Reiz:

The new Reiz will still be a RWD powerhouse with engine powers coming from a 2.5 V6 producing 197bhp and a 3.0V6 which is probably sourced from the FAW-Toyota made Crown, which sends 227bhp through the back wheels.

As CCT discovered before, the Reiz appears to be popular with expats in China.

While the facelift (both inside and out) is welcome, I hope they’ve also made improvements to the suspension tuning.
