I would take a toyota over a BYD any day of the week even with sticking gas pedals. But over a Chinese car would be the only thing I would take it over. I was at a Toyota dealership today and every salesman was busy. People are willing to risk whether or not the problems are fixed for 0% financing and heavy discounts. It makes Toyotas inline price wise with all the other cars that are usually cheaper. China won't be any different. Seems to be working in the US.
