You can take your Toyota and crash when the pedals fail, while I will be driving my Chinese car.

Yeah I agree. They are blowing it. They have been hiding the data their cars record 5 seconds before accidents and 2 seconds after. Scratching off data on the brakes and gas pedals. Just making everyone wonder wha they are hiding.

In this age of outsourcing, these problems could've happened to any global auto manufacturer. What's hurting Toyota now is their (mis)handling of the issue.

It sounds like they aren't all fixed or people are making claims for attention. I would take a toyota over a BYD any day of the week even with sticking gas pedals. But over a Chinese car would be the only thing I would take it over.

I can't believe people would be that dumb. I wouldn't choose a Toyota no matter what you offer me, plus, how do I know if all the problems have been fixed.

Seems to be working in the US. I was at a Toyota dealership today and every salesman was busy. People are willing to risk whether or not the problems are fixed for 0% financing and heavy discounts. It makes Toyotas inline price wise with all the other cars that are usually cheaper.

China won't be any different.
