2010 Honda CRV launches in China
For Dongfeng-Honda, the CRV has been a massive hit. Month after month it was one of the best selling SUVs in the Chinese marketplace and easily trumped its nearest rivals, the Toyota RAV4, and Nissans Qashqai and X-Trail. 2010 is set to be a decisive year for Honda, with the launch of the VW Tiguan SUV which is likely to give the CRV some severe competition now that the VW advertising juggernaut is well underway pushing the Tiguan into peoples homes via the TV, and print media.
The 2010 CRV sports an updated front end and minor internal alterations but still has the same range of engines as the last generation of CRV, namely the 2.0L and the 2.4L. Pricing is quite reasonable, and will range from 189,800rmb to 262,800rmb depending on specification. Sub 200,000RMB models are two wheel drive only, where as 210,000rmb and rising models get the AWD system.
