Mini SUV spotted out testing in China

The Mini SUV has been spotted out testing in China, sparking rumors of an imminent launch in China.

It is unusual for such a car to be spotted out testing in China, perhaps it is undergoing homolglomation prior to launching here in China, or perhaps it is testing local road conditions prior to seeing production in Austria before being sold here, or a mixture of both.

The MINI SUV will likely find itself a niche market in China, although eventual pricing has not yet been announced, and nor would we dare guess.

    NIECE, sporty look

Love it. I will get one but the China importing taxes will probably have me driving it when I am in the US and not with me in China.

Still an ugly car, they should have just focused on making it a five door mini rather than trying to make it a pseudo 4×4 at the same time.

  4. avatar Head Honcho says:

It is barely bigger than the mini. They finally made one with awd which is a must for me. That is part of why I gave up my 2002 mini. I alwaysthought they weren’t the best looking car but they are one of the best driving cars.

That’s hideous, it should be banned.

It looks like a cartoon car you’d sit in while you go on a Roger Rabbit tour around Universal Studios or something.

Looks like a copied Mini from a Chinese company (example: Lifan 320) more than a real Mini.
