SAIC’s Leaf Concept Car to debut at Beijing Auto Show
SAIC’s latest concept car, the Leaf, will debut at the Beijing Auto Show complete with an odd Leaf for a roof. However strange it may be, the Leaf’s foliage derived roof actually serves a useful purpose with it being able to give of O2 (i.e. Oxygen) instead of Co2 as with a regular automobile.
The leafy roof is also a solar panel which will be able to produce and store electricity, and further more it will be able to move into position to gain the best sun light coverage.
The wheels of the Leaf are very much like the spinners on terrible gang banger cars, they turn with the wind as the car goes forward to develop electricity, giving the Leaf yet another power source.
Whilst the Leaf does have some radical ideas for its power source, its highly unlikely that the Leaf will be put into production .

This absorbs CO2 and gives O2? wow, what a great concept, this is a real “leaf”. China is really picking it up.
It’s supposed to do that using metal-organic frameworks. Obviously the entire concept is very far-fetched and production will not be feasible in at least a decade. But it’s a nice idea that I haven’t seen before.
“its highly unlikely that the Leaf will be put into production .”
Understatement of the year!
Fun concept anyway.
A big car company like SAIC can’t be this stupid can they? Sci-fi film maker can design and make a more realistic car than this piece of toy crap. It’s so embarrassing.
It’s called a CONCEPT, SAIC will only advance and innovate in the green field if they explore and come up with innovative ideas.
- Green tea ?
- Yes please.
Please, please – I wanna have such car! It could be the best car for cities like London or other-where the emmision is far to much. The green car would be a blessing for many regions of Earth!
Please put this concept to production!
People will buy such great looking and nice car!
Greetings from UK:)
Well…
let’s produce some energy:
you need:
a car
a generator driven by wind
and now you can create energy out of nothing
