Chinese automotive gearbox companies are few and far between, but it appears that one company are planning on bucking the trend by becoming a first class innovator rather than playing technology catch-up.
Shengrui, a Shandong based gearbox manufacturer, have successfully developed an 8 speed automatic gearbox with the help of its friends from Ricardo, Beijing Aerospace university, and Germany’s Chemnitz University of Technology.
The gearbox itself is actually quite universal, with it being able to be applied to engines ranging from 1.6T to 3.0L V6 engines with max torque reaching 300N.m at 6500rpm. The gearbox itself is able to fit into a regular 5 speed automatic gearbox casing, making it quite small despite its large gear ratio.
Shengrui have already signed a deal with FAW-Haima to supply 60,000 units of the 8 speed box starting from next year, and no doubt we will see it in quite a few other cars as well over the next year or two.
The gearbox will be on display at the Beijing Auto Show where it is hoped that Shengrui will be able to expand their offerings to a worldwide audience.

Wow. How do you think you are going to find it posting here? If you have their address and phone number you have more information on them than anyone else here. Looks like you are trying to advertise but I am in China so the wrong market. Good luck with your strange marketing scheme.
