MG6 to reveal itself at Silverstone race track

From Car Dealer Magazine:

MG Motor will showcase its brand new MG6 family car at Silverstone race circuit in early June. The MG Live event is being attended by the fledgling maker as it aims to make inroads into the UK new car market once again.

It is an event run by the MG Car Club, which is marking its 60th anniversary year. Getting the Chinese-owned car maker is a bit of a coup for the club, particularly as it will be an exclusive pre-launch preview showing of the MG6.

Guy Jones, sales and marketing director for MG Motor UK, said: ‘We strongly believe that the loyal fans of the MG brand should have the first opportunity to see the new MG6 and what better opportunity than at the world famous Silverstone race circuit at the ‘MG Live!’ event in June.

‘This is already a great event and a testimony to the strength of the MG brand, so it is fitting that we take the all new MG6 there as part of the celebrations surrounding the MG brand.

‘The MG6 will be the centrepiece of the MG Motor stand at the heart of the action for the weekend at Silverstone.’ Also on show, he added, will be the Brit-built MG TF roadster.

This is the same MG6 that received a rave review from the UK’s Autocar magazine a few days ago, obviously MG is heading into a rosy future if it continues bringing in products like this.

Is it just me or were the performance specs for the MG6 pretty….sad.

While I was lookin for something sporty and local, MG6 disappointment forced me to reconsider. I’ve recently opted for massive paperwork and an imported Z4. :D

Too little too late. Maybe a launch two years ago in Europe might have stood a chance. The wolves are out for it now I think and this sheep is no spring lamb.

Nice. The MG6 probably will be popular in Europe.
