The Englon range was initially developed to house the TX4 taxi which is being built between the British company LTI and Geely in Shanghai Maples factory in Shanghai. The latest Taxi looks have jumped over the forthcoming TX5 cab and developed its own funky style, much akin to an enlarged MINI. Its unlikely to see service as a cab in European markets due to its lack of a wheelchair ramp which is a necessity for the European markets.
The MPV’s have a certain style to them, being short wheelbase but tall, they might be Geely’s entry into the popular Mian Bao Che (Breadvan) segment that Geely have so far ignored but has reaped massive profits for other car manufacturers that have taken full use of the cars to the countryside program that government instigated early last year.
The Englon SX6 SUV appears to have a Mitsubishi style front end about it, but overall the compact SUV looks rather good.
