MG3 – handsome in black
The MG line up has started to get a distinct sharp look to its front end, and that has already migrated over to the Roewe 550 for the overseas markets, but that front end is making its way downstream and into the MG3 which was the MG Zero concept at the Beijing Auto Show.
The MG3 has already been codenamed the ZP11 inside SAIC and is expected to take a 1.3L and a 1.5L engine, with the 1.5L expected to launch first as the 1.5L is already in the Roewe 350. The 1.5L is good for 80kW of power at 6000rpm, and has a max torque of 135Nm at 4000rpm which is expected to propel the car to 182km/h.

bring to the uk as soon as you launch in china. you may own the mg brand but mg home turf is alway Great Britian.
Is the MG3 the concept shown at Beijing? Looks cool.
yeah this is the mg zero concept that was shown to the world and press at beijing this year
Can’t help but feel a bit let down by this. The Zero looked really cool and a bit different, this just looks anonymous and dull. What a shame.
To be fair the car is black, with no chrome work and is probably not wanting to draw attention to itself. Let’s hope that the actual production version is good looking, well built and good to drive at a good price (oh and is reliable!). Not asking much here.
Let’s wait and see how the fiished article looks on the road shall we?
