MG Zero is the MG3 – Pictures revealed!

The MG Zero concept car was rumored to become a new MG2 or even the Roewe 150, now it appears to becoming the MG3 according to these spyshots:

The MG Zero, which is now the MG3 hatchback is probably going to mean the end of the current MG3 Streetwise, unless of course MG want to follow in other automakers footsteps and sell two generations of model side by side. Interestingly, will this mean that the future MG version of the Roewe 350 will become the MG5? This car is also rumoured to be a hatchback model.

Stats for the MG3 have already been leaked out onto the internet; the car will measure in at (LxWxH) 3999 x 1728 x 1517mm, making it quite a large small car, its wheelbase measures in at 2520mm. Engine power is derived from the same 1.5L that is stored in the Roewe 350, and will power the car to a top speed of 182kph according to SAIC’s figures.

The launch of the MG3 will give top selling mini  joint venture cars, such as the Ford Fiesta and the Toyota Yaris a severe knock when it comes out later this year.
