Geely SUV sighted out testing

Last time we posted the Geely SUV, Geely’s first self developed crossover we posted some other pictures of a RAV4 suspension set up that looked overly familiar to the Geely SUV.

The Toyota RAV4 has been the basis of several cars in China, notably the first generation Chery Tiggo3 SUV which was heavily influenced by the RAV4, and not forgetting the Jonway UFO series of cars, it appears that Chinese manufacturers are still in love with the simplicity of the RAV4.

The EX7 will be followed into production by the large EX8 SUV that was a concept at the Beijing Auto Show, although EX8 release date has been pushed back a little further again.

Engines for the EX7 are likely to be a self developed 1.8L engine, and also the option of an automatic gearbox from Geely’s DSI operations.
