MG3 to launch in September this year
SAIC’s Roewe 350 and MG6 have just recently rolled off the production line and have claimed automotive headlines for the past few weeks, but SAIC are not set at falling back into the small print and plan to roll out the MG3 in September this year.
The MG3 (pictured left) was first shown as the MG Zero concept at the Beijing Auto Show in April. Engines for the MG3 have been set as a 1.3L engine and the 1.5L taken from the Roewe 350, on the gearbox front the MG3 will take a 4 speed auto from Aisin gearbox and the 5 speed manual gearbox from the Roewe 350.
As mentioned on CCT before now, the MG3 is expected to be priced from 60,000rmb.

MG HOME WILL ALWAYS BE LONGBRIDGE
When you launch a car in china under MG you need to launch it in the UK on the same week. MG is a British Brand and deserves to be on sale in its home market.
I agree Michael. MG is not for sale on the continent for 15 to 18 months. Only UK & Ireland sales now. When they are available throughout Western Europe, I would expect new models to be released from China and Longbridge at the same time. First however, SAIC has to rebuild the model range, so China and Longbridge are not yet in sync.
