Confirmed: Mark two Jetta to finally meet its maker in 2012

The mark two Jetta has had an excellent run in China, and has been in production for practically as long as the musical Cats has been in production, an impressive feat for a car that has spanned the 20th and 21st century, are there any other cars in production that can compete?

It seems that the mark two Jetta’s days are numbered as the Chinese press are reporting that the Jetta will go out of production forever in 2012 and will be replaced with the upcoming Jetta NF. From what we have learned so far, the Jetta NF will be an all new sub 100,000rmb economy car for the Chinese market
