Official pictures of Riich Z5 roadster leaked
The Chery Riich Z5 has been in development for a very long time, and is something that we have all been looking forward to seeing hit the roads. When the car was in development it was known as the Chery A6CC, and was likely to join the Chery A-series of cars but with the development of the Riich and Reely brands by Chery, it seems that the A6CC was upgraded to Chery’s Riich brand, which is aiming to be a semi luxurious brand for the Chinese market.
The Riich Z5 will come with a 2.0TCI engine, which translates into quite the little power plant for the Z5. The 2.0TCI engine is capable of 125Kw of power at 5500rpm and torque translates to 225Nm/1900rpm. However it seems that the Z5 will be coming in automatic form, which means some power is lost and ends up with 116kw of power but a torque increase to 250Nm thanks to the 5 speed automatic gearbox Chery plan on using.
Eventual pricing, or a launch date, has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be over 200,000rmb.

wow, looks great!
Are we talking about the car or the girl?
surely the word ‘roadster’ means it should have a convertible roof?
Yes, Riich Z5 is a coupe only with a fixed roof. I think CCT does always mix up A3CC(M-14) with A6CC.
Holy moly! That’s a Chinese car? It looks amazing.
Hi Vava 1:
Roadster apparently has a different meaning in Europe, as compared to the U.S., where it does refer to a removable top.
No – it means the same
Description here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadster
And so by this definition we can say the roadster is a rare bird among Chinese manufacturers. Aside from a few low volume specialty makers, only the Chery M14 and the BYD F8 come to mind.
@dragin
Also the Brilliance Coupe.
Best looking Chinese coupe to date. Though the price point better stay low if it hopes to seriously compete with likes of the formidable Hyundai Genesis (Rohens) Coupe.
I like the Rohens coupe, problem is the performance specs for some reason seem quite a bit worse than the Genesis available with the same engine size in the US.
Possibly to do with fuel quality here in China, it happens on a few different car. Also roads and tyre quality factor into the corporate decision to turn your average US market motor into a Eunuch for hte Chinese market.
Admittedly I’ve never test driven the Brilliance Coupe but I think it gives the Hyundai Coupe a run for its money. Definitely a Chinese car before its time.
