Toyota’s Alphard MPV to launch in China next month
Toyota’s MPV range is currently made up of the Previa and Hi-Ace, but Toyota are planning to launch the much larger Alphard MPV in China early next month.
The Alphard is powered by a 170bhp 2.4L and a 280bhp 3.5L engine, pricing is expected to be around 500,000rmb for the 2.4L whilst the 3.5L is expected to be considerably higher.

BYD M6 Is also a seven seater with Mitsubishi engine and tech it surely a better bet compared to cars of this range
And BYD Top Range car is at Half the price of the Starting Price of Toyota’s
Nicky, you must be a big BYD fans. BYD M6 is only comparable to Toyota Previa instead of this upmarket Alphard. As you have mentioned, BYD’s clones can only ask for half the Toyota/Honda price. Even that they are targeting at different people, so BYD was never convicted in court for IP theft.
Colin, if you live in the US, you are very lucky to enjoy the latest technology cars in an affordable price. In China the story is just opposite. You pay ridiculous price to a lower-spec car, a Camry will ask double the US price. Yes, this Alphard is selling for 100 grands due to heavy import duty applied.
Has anybody seen a BYD M6 on the road?
I know that they can be pre-ordered already. However I still wait to see one.

i agree, i live in Beijing,.. i was last week in Guangzhou (where the M6 should be made),… but i still would like to see one on the road,.. or even in a show room,…
but this is about the Alphard,….. i want to see one ASAP anywhere in China
