Hawtai Automotive are angling to become China’s first mass producer of clean diesel sedans and SUV’s in the Chinese market.

Over the past years Hawtai have developed heavily in foreign technology such as engines and automatic gearboxes which they have improved upon for their own use in new models, such as their forthcoming SUV and sedan range.

Hawtai have two sedans in development, one is on par with the Toyota Camry (the B35) in terms of sizing, whilst a second, the B11, is on par with a Ford Focus dimensions.

The B11, a B35, and a currently unseen B21, are expected to launch within the year alongside their new SUV, which is based on the last generation Hyundai Sante-Fei platform and will carry the same advanced diesel engines as its sedan cousins.
