Chang’an launches new Niu Jin Xing mini van and new logo
Chang’an have launched another mini van that is expected to perform well in rural markets where demand for such vehicles is still running extremely high. Chang’an initially had great success with its original mini van which recently hit its one millionth vehicle produced, the Niu Jin Xing is a higher end model and will be aimed at self employed people in rural and suburban areas.
The Niu Jin Xing will be powered by a 1.3L engine and is priced from 45,900rmb to 55,900rmb depending on specification. It measures (LxWxH) 4.11 x 1.69 x 1.93 meters, meaning that is big enough to seat upto 9 people or carry a wide range of goods. The most interesting thing about this mini van is the golden bull logo, which embodies its Chinese name.

Chang’an also produces a nice Pinanfarina-designed minivan called the Big Overlord (大霸王) at its Hafei subsidiary. It is slightly smaller but very attractive. And so one wonders how Chang’an will choose to restructure in order to prevent competing with itself.
