Is the Regal GS China bound?

The Buick Regal has already been on the market in China for the past 18 months or so, but it could about to be joined by the Regal GS – the American version of the 2.0T that is already on the market in China.

When we say “already on the market” what we mean is, its available as a 220bhp form but lacks the styling and power of the GS; which puts out 255bhp. As Hyundai have already launched their 275bhp Sonata Turbo, GM is expected to give the Regal GS an even bigger power boost so we could potentially be looking at at 280bhp vehicle heading China’s way. This 2.0T direct injection engine is already used in the Chinese version of the Cadillac STS.

Furthermore, the GS has already been spotted in China – it could be that this will be the center piece for the Guangzhou Auto Show next month, or it could be that the GS will go into production in China sometime soon.
