GWM’s high end car in rendered form

Great Wall Motors (GWM) once displayed a wonderful sports concept sedan in April 2009 but is taking its time to get the concept to the production stage. The rendering to the left is apparently one of GWM’s first shots at building a production ready sedan, the sedan may look rather basic in the renderings but you can see hints of the A4L around the rear end. Furthermore, this sedan is expected to have a wheelbase of 2800mm, and will measure in at (LxWxH) 4995x1865x1480mm making it fairly comparable to the original concept.

This sedan is likely to follow in the Teng Yi series of cars that has already produced a compact sedan called the C30, and also heralded a renaming of Greatwalls MPV to Tengyi V80. The sedan is going to renamed the Teng Yi C70 when launched and will be powered by a 2.0T engine that will be self developed by GWM and also a 6 speed gearbox which will also be self developed.

Expect to see another updated concept model at the Guangzhou Auto Show later this year
