Toyota Verso to launch in Guangzhou
Toyota are having a rough time in China, the worlds no. 1 automaker can’t seem to make cars that resonate loudly enough with consumers, and are thus reverting to GM’s rule book by making smaller, cheaper cars. The current small car line up at Toyota China is relatively limited, with only the developing market only Vios and the Yaris being made available. The next step is the VersoMPV that will take on the VW Tiguan and also make buyers think twice about other smaller MPV’s such as the Nissan Livina.
The Verso will make its official appearance at the Guangzhou Auto show later this year and will come with the choice of a 1.6L 132 bhp or a 1.8L 147bhp engine, both of which sound rather powerful for their size.
