New Chevrolet Spark to launch in Guangzhou
With the launch of the BaoJun brand and BaoJun 630 sedan it appears that Chevrolet maybe going slightly more up market and is expected to import the latest generation of the Chevrolet Spark into China soon.
The new generation of Spark is produced in Korea and will therefore be a fairly cheap import into China until a Chinese factory could be retooled to produce the Spark. The last generation of Spark is already produced in China by the GM-Wuling-SAIC tie up and is branded as a Chevrolet, although this Spark is expected to become a Wuling model later this year and the platform could be donated to the BaoJun brand to make a super cheap mini for the Chinese market.

Oh yeah, I’ve been waiting for this one!! The interior of this car is especially cool, one of the nicest small car interiors I’ve ever seen. Let’s hope they keep this priced under the Sail (even though it will be imported to begin with) – that’s assuming Chevy keeps the Sail and doesn’t bequeath it to Baojun. In any case, this is a VERY cool car………anyone want to take a guess if they might sell a “Transformers” version??
Nice to see the Spark depart from the QQ totally in appearance. SGM is moving forward in this class.

That’s a strange comment since it was QQ that is a Matiz rip-off, and it is Chery’s obligation to change the styling, not Daewoo’s.
@ IHC
As you mentioned, Chery has already had QQ6,Cowin1,QQme,A1,M1,M5,X1… They are all looked different from your famous Daewoo Matiz. Can you talk about something else instead of the age-old issue that has been resolved? Even M1 is available in Italy, why GM lawyers did not confiscate them at the port in Italy?

Nose look slightly changed. The rest of body looks intact.
