Toyota Verso to launch on Dec 18th

Guangzhou-Toyota are set to launch the Toyota Versa on December 18th according to media reports from early this morning. The Verso is a 5 seater with the option of 2 seats in the trunk, the Verso will be a major competitor to the VW Tiguan and is expected to be priced from 110,000rmb to 150,000rmb and will be powered by a 1.6L and 1.8L engines.

The Verso has been spotted out testing in China, but the automotive fan fair that usually comes ahead of a car launch has been missing. Toyota has failed to focus on the small car market in China despite them being a leader in the market in Europe, although they are now returning their focus to their small car line up in China to further growth.
