Beijing Auto to produce C30 sedan
Beijing Auto may have become a staid old dinosaur in the past few years, punching out a few Soviet era jeeps here and there for the People’s Liberation Army use but they have had an awakening and plan to become once again one of the major players in the Chinese market. With their recently purchased Saab tech, and also ex-Chrysler platforms, Beijing Auto (BAC) are ready to roll to the top of the state owned auto charts once again. BAC’s C30 mini hatchback-come-MPV will have its first official airing in Guangzhou later this month alongside their SUV range which we saw earlier this year, a C30 compact sedan is also set to launch. The C30 sedan looks suspiciously like the Mercedes C-Class sedan which BAC also produce in a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz in Beijing.
The C30 sedan has been codenamed the BC302Z for internal use, engine power is likely to follow the C30 hatchbacks 1.3L and 1.5L engines that were pulled from the shelves at Mitsubishi.

It doesn’t look like an MB C-class, it looks like a B-class converted into a sedan. The question is if it is as high as the B-class, then it would really stand out among sedans.
