Chery’s heavy trucking dreams

As well as a compact pick up truck, Chery also has plans to introduce mid size flat bed trucks and also heavy trucks into its Chery and Karry line ups. The Karry brand was set up to become Chery’s super cheap, super economical trucking range in the Chinese market, although these spy shots and also the spy shots posted earlier today indicate that Chery might still be wanting to apply its logo to these vehicles.

Chery signed an agreement with Zhong Ji Group to set up a joint venture to produce heavy trucks that would have both Chery and Zhongji branding. The heavy truck segment is a heavy one that is continually improving its sales. The joint venture will see the two companies produce a range of heavy vehicles together, including cement mixers and other heavy vehicles. The first range of them will be produced in December 2011 according to our information.
