Greatwall’s Tengyi C50 sedan spotted out testing
Greatwall Motor’s Tengyi C30 sedan has already gotten off to a great start in the compact motor segment (despite the initial complaints), GWM plans to expand the line up to include the larger C50 and then an even larger model at some point in the future. Spy pictures of the C50 have already been leaked out to the internet, but of course we have already seen the C50 before now at the Beijing Auto Show where it was on show in concept form.
According to early news reports, the C50 will be powered by a 1.5T engine which will be GWM’s first turbo powered car, bhp will be on the low side 121 but torque will be around 200Nm, which will make it a hot hatch for traffic light starts in the city center. For the gearbox GWM has plans for a 5 speed manual and also a stepless CVT.
