Chevrolet Cruze spotted out testing in China

The Chevrolet Cruze has been the major proponent behind Chevrolet China’s brand revival, Chevrolet was cursed to be Buick’s little brother was receiving Buick’s hand me down models rebadged as Chevrolet’s, but the Cruze changed this. Chevrolet suddenly went up market with the introduction of the Cruze and also the face lifted Aveo and Sail models and has continually been a great seller for Shanghai GM, a 1.6T Cruze was recently introduced in the Chinese market with a 5 speed manual only gearbox that is proving to be a hit with petrol heads across China.

The Cruze hatchback was unveiled at the Paris Auto Show earlier this year and was widely thought of as the car that the Subaru Impreza could have been. The Cruze hatchback is likely to be on show at next weeks Guangzhou Auto Show and will probably enter China in the 1.6 and 1.8L forms that have followed the sedan into production. The addition of the hatchback as a 1.6T model has not yet been confirmed.
