Range Rover Evoque five door debuts in China, gains Chinese name
Range Rover’s luxury crossover, the Evoque, was debuted earlier today in China for the first time and also saw the international debut of the five door Range Rover Evoque. Land Rover China’s Managing Director, Mr. Chris Brown, was on hand to launch the new car to a very excited crowd and showed the path that the Evoque will take over the next few months.
Mr. Brown also announced the Evoque’s Chinese name: 极光 (Ji Guang), which means extremely bright – something that the Evoque certainly is. The Chinese luxury Crossover market has picked up considerable speed in the past few months with Mercedes, Infiniti, Audi, and BMW all putting their own models into the pile. The Evoque will certainly prove to be a popular model in China, especially in five door trim, due the to strength of the Range Rover brand.
