Toyota Zelas aka Scion tC shown in China, to launch in 2011
Somewhere in early 2010 Toyota realized that its China line up was going in the wrong direction, too many large cars and too many SUV’s and not enough small cars, Toyota’s has decided the way forward is to introduce some of the Scion range into China in a bid to introduce younger buyers to the Toyota brand. The Scion tC has been renamed the Zelas for the Chinese market and also some Middle East markets, the second generation version is powered by a 2.5l 180bhp four cylinder engine, Toyota has not yet announced any pricing but it is expected to be less than 300,000rmb, but with Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe on sale for 210,000rmb with a much more powerful turbo unit, the Toyota might be up against some one way competition.

I’m not the only one who thinks this cars styling feels a bit… ..90′s am I?
Not bad, just looks like a 1990′s product rather than a 2010′s.
Nice looking red car…the kind that Santa might drive when he’s in the south and sleighless.
Besides Toyota needs all the good PR it can get.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year CCT. Keep up the good work in 2011.
RMB300,000- that’s… USD45,000 for a SCION?
