Beiijng BC301Z comes down the line in Zhu Zhou
Beijing Auto is back, and they plan to make a decent dent in the Chinese auto market as they did back in their early days of the Chinese car industry in the 1950′s.
Beijing Auto got caught in a rut, it became synonymous with being a world war two jeep manufacturer and also a second party to Hyundai and Mercedes, even Chinese party officials were debating the use of Beijing Auto and were thinking of merging it with other local large state owned auto enterprises such as FAW. Beijing Auto wants to fight out of the corner that it got itself trapped in and plans to do this with a range of new cars. The first car is the BC301Z, a terrible name aside, it seems that the BC30 is a small car that plans to achieve much, it may look like a B-Class from the front but the rear remains at least slightly different.
Zhu Zhou City is the host to BAIC’s new factory in Zhu Zhou’s high tech industry area, BAIC built the factory 18 months ago with plans to kick start their new car brand in second and third tier cities.
Pricing has not yet been announced but it is expected to be around 50,000rmb to 70,000rmb when officially priced in early 2011.

Now the question: How close to the not really “typical” B-Class is the technical part of this car?
