Emgrand EC7 gets 5 star result in CNCAP crash test
Geely really did turn a new page in 2009 when it decided to take its branding more upmarket and with an expanded product line up that did away with the older cheaper models that Geely had become synonymous with, and in the early days of 2011 we have seen the results of Geelys hard work in a 5 star crash test result for the Emgrand EC7 sedan.
The EC7 is one of the first self developed Chinese sedans that has gained a 5-star safety accolade from CNCAP, the safety body responsible for crash testing cars. The Emgrand EC7 received13.61 points for a head on collision, 14.41 points for a 40% offset test, 15.8% for the side impact crash test giving it a total of 46.8 points and a five star result from CNCAP. This is not Geely’s first car to achieve 5 stars, the Panda also received a 5 star award when tested.

Geely is rapidly distancing itself from ole death traps like the CK. This is imperative if it is to preserve and perpetuate the safety reputation of its new acquisition.
How far does the criteria differ from the european version?
I think the C-NCAP tests @ 56km/h
While the Euro one tests @ 64 km/h
Who would take CNCAP test seriously? Only Wongfufu!
Who would take you seriously? Only insecure Koreans like IHC who spend their free time bashing China on CCT to regain their self-esteem.
Ed,
No one has to take me seriously. I ain’t the one giving a Chinese car a 5 star crash rating. CNCAP better know what they are doing, but then again it’s a Chinese organization, completely bogus and untrustworthy!
“Only insecure Koreans like IHC who spend their free time bashing China on CCT to regain their self-esteem.”
Dude China bashing is my guilty pleasure, it’s like kicking a retarded kid when he’s down…but the retarded kid deserving the beat down. Get it?
Exactly, so you might as well keep quiet and save your energy, since saying it and not saying it gives the same outcome. As for the guilty pleasure part, what gives a more pathetic creature the right to make fun of the mentally challenged? It’s like a Korean making fun of a Chinese, lmao.
