Toyota Camry SE to launch in China
Toyota are eager to the Honda Spirror, which indecently has not sold too well since launching, and are planning to launch the Taiwanese edition of the Toyota Camry which will be pushed as a sports model in the Chinese market.
The Camry SE is likely to be produced by Guangzhou Auto and will be launched sometime in the second half of the year. Engine power is provided by a 2.5L engine in Taiwan, but that is likely to change to the 2.4L engine that is already used in the Chinese built Camry.

Can I be hired to edit the grammar/spelling on this site? No offence, but I keep noticing some major ones.
“Toyota are eager to the Honda Spirror, which indecently has not sold too well since launching, and are planning to…”
That sentence makes no sense.
Ha! You are right. Shouldn’t bang out articles late at night….
Sporty? A largish front wheel drive sedan with a smallish engine does not a sporty car make. Hey Guangdong Toyota, here’s how you properly do sporty: Give us the Reiz with a 2.5L turbo and manual transmission. Or even better, a non-turbo 2.4L engine into the Corolla with 16 inch wheels, limited slip differential, and firmer suspension.
You would need to ask FAW-Toyota (nicely) for that turbo Reiz.
*yawn*
At least the Spirior is a sporty car.
