Zhongxing’s first small SUV to be produced in 2011
Zhongxing Auto (ZX Auto) have disappeared from the headlines for quite some time, and has been losing sales to its local rival Great Wall. ZX Auto is a relatively new company with it turning to the automotive game in the year 1999 and is privately owned by a Taiwanese company and a Chinese trucking company. Sales are limited within China to just five models and exports are a major part of Zhongxing’s total sales, ZX Auto exports to most developing nations in South America, South Asia and Africa.
One of ZX Auto’s soon to launch models is a small crossover, of course we first heard about this several months ago. As well as the crossover ZX Auto are prepping a small car range which will include a small MPV, a hatchback and a small pick up truck on the back of a new C-platform that they are developing.
ZX Auto needs to quickly revitalize its line up to attain for a wider base of customers that they are missing out to, although production capacity remains small at ZX Auto with just 110,000 vehicles being able to come down the lines per year, ZX Auto will be reach full capacity if they move fast enough.
