Hover H6 sighted ahead of launch with Hover brand

GWM H6 300x199 Hover H6 sighted ahead of launch with Hover brandGreatwall claimed a home run when they first produced the Hover SUV which later gave birth to the Hover brand, although GWM did not have the foresight to register the Hover brand in international markets and thus lost out on a cool marketing opportunity, instead it has been renamed Haval for international markets.

The H6 to the left has its own logo which indicates that GWM are about to launch into a multi-brand strategy as with their rivals at Geely and Chery. In recent years it seems to have become a ‘measure of success‘ for a Chinese car company to have many brands, when in actual fact it is a greater burden as you already have a fairly weak brand with the added baggage of a new sub brand to build up. GWM may also break its Voleex sedan series away from the GWM brand and launch that off under its own badge alos.

On the other hand, the H6 was first launched at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2010 as a concept car but has now made it to the production stage.
