Honda’s Everus S1 to launch next month

The Everus S1 will launch in China next month – you’re not too sure on what the Everus is? The Everus is Honda’s own sub-brand where they will be placing older, re-badged Honda models under the Everus name. Everus launched in Honda’s Chinese back yard at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late 2010 as Honda’s economy brands, which is a blatant (but genius) attempt at getting more money out of old goods, on the upside they can market it as mature technology which rural and price wary buyers will lap up, those that prefer aesthetics over price will obviously plump for those models with Honda badges.

On the power front the S1 will be home to a 1.3L and a 1.5L with manual and automatic gearboxes on offer, pricing is rumored to start at less than 80,000 which will be a big strike against Chinese manufacturers.
