Brilliance ‘X1′ SUV caught outside again

Like the BMW X1? Cant afford it? No problem, BMW’s Chinese partner Brilliance have produced their own look-a-like for 2011. The two companies are quite comfortable with each other and it is not the first time that Brilliance have borrowed some of BMW’s styling for their own range of cars.

The Brilliance SUV is to be known as the A3 SUV, whilst their new sedan will be known as the A4 sedan. In recent years Brilliance has been a loss making company, but no doubt that these models will be able to turn the loss making tide at a smart little company. The new A3 SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.6L engine and possibly the 1.8 and 1.8T engine from Brilliance’s own storeroom.

Now the interesting thing is, what is the other SUV we have seen before that does not resemble the above A3 in any way shape or form? Are we looking at two SUV’s from Brilliance in the next few weeks and months? Could the A3 be aiming for the upper segment whilst this unknown model goes for the lower market segments?
