Brilliance reveals official A3 SUV pictures
Brilliance have finally revealed the official A3 SUV renderings ahead of the A3′s launch at the Shanghai Auto Show. The SUV itself highly resembles the BMW X1, who of course are Brilliance’s partner. It’s not entirely clear as to what level of cooperation the two companies have, or if BMW are working with Brilliance on the cars design to some stage, although it is not the first time that Brilliance’s models have been inspired by their partner.
The A3 SUV is the first SUV product from Brilliance, although they could be designing a new one. The overall exterior is very close to the X1, but looking inside it is clear that Brilliance have done their homework with the introduction of a glass roof for the car, making it one of the first Chinese car companies to do so. The dashboard looks to have been vastly improved over earlier Brilliance models.
On the power plant front, it seems that Brilliance have confirmed that it will be powered by a 1.6L and a 1.8L engine – no news on the turbo version yet, but we imagine that is in the works for now.
