This is FAW’s new SUV concept – seen ahead of time

Several years ago FAW displayed a mega concept SUV, we only say mega because the thing was gigantic, and it looked like a Porsche Cayenne. FAW have gone back to the drawing board with their concept and come up with the below mini tank, that still looks like a Cayenne from the rear.

The concept’s interior is certainly a step in the right direction, the fast flowing styles seem to indicate that FAW designers have kicked off their design team with some new design talent and pushed the older generation aside – note that the oldies were responsible for truck design and rarely had the flair required to produce a concept car, or a production car.

We’ve learned that the Besturn SUV is likely to use one of FAW’s partner platforms, so that could be anything from Mazda, GM, Toyota, VW or Audi. Engine power is likely to be a 2.0L or a 2.5L mated to a six speed manual or a 5 speed auto.
