Great Wall’s range-extended electric vehicle technology is more convenient and eco-friendly
Great Wall’s ranged-extended electric vehicle technology focuses on electric power, and range extension comes second. The front and rear drive axles are driven by an electric motors each, ensuring better distribution of driving force to each wheel. Control over the two electric motors can assist downhill braking and thus control the downhill speed.
The range-extended electric vehicle’s powertrain system can be charged with household outlets. A full charge takes only five hours. The vehicle battery can be used as small energy-storage power station, whose capacity can power ordinary family for one and a half days.
The powertrain system’s platform is mainly consisting of standard power modules, power electronic control modules, battery pack modules, and an optional rear-wheel auxiliary drive module.
