Not all the action was happening on the floor of the Shanghai Auto Show, it appears that a good chunk of the action was happening in the ladies dressing room as well.
25 year old Chinese model Huang Ying is a relatively famous model in China, or rather her fairly ample bust is, according to her version of events on the 20th April Huang Ying was in the dressing room for models sitting next to another model, Lan Miao Miao. In a stereotypical super star model manner Lan Miao Miao was having a public display of anger and refused to have anything on the shared desks in front of the two models. When Ms. Lan went to move a coffee cup, the contents spilled onto Huang Ying’s dress but in an odd move Ms. Lan demanded that Huang Ying Ying apologise, when an apology was not forthcoming Lan Miao Miao picked up Huang Ying’s bag and emptied the contents on the floor, then called in the make up artist to take away all of the make up on the table.
This is when the fun really started – Huang Ying looked Lan Miao Miao in the eye and this seemed to send Lan into a seething rage, she grabbed at Huang Ying’s face and threw her to the floor and gave Huang Ying a good kicking as well. Event management staff were quickly on the scene and seperated the fighting pair, staff requested Lan Miao Miao come over and apologise but by 2pm in the afternoon she failed to appear, Huang Ying went to the hospital with her manager.
An apology has still not yet been delivered by Lan Miao Miao, a police case has been filed in Shanghai but two sparring models are turning to private legal action to solve the case.

How sad………..I really hope they didn’t damage the dressing room too badly. I think a scientific study needs to be done for the benefit of all arrogant models in the future – the connection between heavy makeup use and loss of brain cells!!!
I hung out with a trio of car models at last years Beijing Auto Show, I can confirm that certain ones are pretty short on brain cells, but then you come across the odd ones that have graduate degrees in performing arts. Standing next to a car for several hours per day is not exactly an interesting career path though.
Trust me Ash, I know what you mean – I teach at a performing arts college and I see them all the time! Some truly are intelligent and polite – but it seems like for most of them they simply do not understand the words ETIQUETTE and MANNERS. I think I’ll stick with the style and substance of my music students!
Hey everyone – this guy teaches models English and he’s complaining. Get the pitchforks!!
Surprising as it might be, I actually do not teach english – I really do teach music! My main job is being conductor and director for orchestra and concert band, and I also do digital audio and MIDI work. Models need music for their shows….I never said I’m not EXTREMELY LUCKY to have this job, I’m just reinforcing the fact that brains and beauty don’t always go together!!
Miaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
If they really knew how to fight instead of being pampered princesses/rich mens playthings then at least one of them would have had a black eye to show for it….. now that would be interesting….
Ash, any chance of having a CCT sponsored paddling pool and bucket of KY at the GZ show this year? Now that would get people watching.
And with your keen insights into the world of new cars, if you happened to lose that job it seems to me you could easily find one in the auto industry.
very kind words dragin, much appreciated!!I have often wondered what it would be like to work in the auto industry, perhaps in marketing/promotion or even just to correct all of the english mistakes on the chinese car companies websites!!
They are mostly not interested. You should see the press releases I get sent. This is Geely’s pre-show press release:

Fiat + Subaru’s were giving me headaches yesterday.
Wow. That photo is of a model? I thought it was some official or something, she’s not at all attractive to me. Models should be *fine*, not just have some tits, and she’s not fine.
Then again, many models I’ve met are only so fine as their make-up artists and diet allow them to be, and I suppose this model’s make-up wasn’t applied before it was knocked away.
Who is “Miao Miao”? Sounds like a stuck up bitch. Someone needs to give ‘er a talking to..
Rick, don’t click on the link – it will give you nightmares
Yeah, I needed a couple of Advil (Ibprofen) after that one. Yikes! Until these companies start to present themselves better (and a website is a first impression for many people), they’ll never be taken seriously on the international stage – regardless of the quality of the product. They need help, but they still haven’t figured out that they need help – that’s REALLY scary.
A few years back I was lucky enough to go to the Tokyo motor show and other than the Ralliart model the regular girls walking around the show were much more attractive than the models working. Different in China though.
